Hi, I'm Janette Edmonds, and I dream of a world in which ALL women feel empowered, valued and beautiful. Personally, as a woman in my fifties I know what it’s like to feel invisible and undervalued. Professionally, a photographer of 19 years, I started working almost exclusively with women 10 years ago when I realised that most women who came to see me were saying such things as: “You have your job cut out for you today” and “all my friends say I look lovely in my social media pictures but I know that they are just being kind”.
I realised that even highly successful and seemingly confident women felt anything but confident on the inside and because I believe that every woman deserves to have a beautiful portrait of themselves, I made it my mission to help women feel empowered, strong and beautiful in front of the camera.
By offering styling advice and makeovers as part of my photoshoots, I help women relax, take a breath from their stressful and busy lives and create incredible images for work and for home.
My values are QUALITY, EMPATHY AND TRUST. Everything I do is with those values in mind. My mission is to give you an experience and photos that WOW you. My mission is to help women feel empowered, valued and beautiful.
The Studio - The Dining Room
Because you deserve the very best experience, my studio is the Dining Room of a Georgian Mansion in Charmouth on the Jurassic Coast.
Boasting a wooden floor, fireplace, high ceilings and huge windows, it is full of light and character. Warm, welcoming and furnished with your comfort (and the photos) in mind, it is a beautiful space and perfect to help you relax and feel pampered. With fresh coffee, teas and bubbly, we also have the famous Charmouth Bakery around the corner - a little treat on a special day.
