When we love ourselves EVERYTHING CHANGES...

Everything becomes possible.

Many of the women that I work with struggle with low self esteem, because of things that happened in the past and comments that people made to them and WOW don’t those insults STICK!

I can remember being called “Thunder Thighs” by my Dad when I was about 15 even though I was a size 10. I can remember my first husband telling me that “aunque un mono se pinta, a mono se queda” (He was Spanish and this means: “Even though a monkey puts makeup on, it’s still a monkey”) Of course it was a “joke”.

I can remember being told by a family member that I wasn’t pretty enough to wear my hair straight and I remember being asked if I was a man in drag! (Girls can be such bitches in night-club loos).

I remember all those things as if I had heard them yesterday.

And yet, I now know that they were said because those people felt inadequate - they were thoughtless and they were victims themselves, of things said and done to them. And I ask myself - at WHAT POINT does this cycle of self-hatred peter out?

I’ve chosen to leave my past behind me - it’s over and done with and I encourage my clients to do the same. I recently saw photographed a GORGEOUS woman whose life and health has been affected by comments from her brother. She is convinced that nothing can help her. I am hoping that when she sees her images, that she too can leave that behind her and start living to her full potential.

I have seen women make incredible changes because they chose to believe that each moment is a opportunity to create a new future for themselves. As a result of their reaction to the Beautifully You Experience, they have changed or ended relationships, they have started new businesses and left old unfulfilling jobs. They chose not to be defined by their past. They chose to break that cycle.

If you ever feel that you are less than you would like to be because of things that happened in the past, please understand that the people who did these things to you were probably victims themselves. Forgive them - so YOU can move on. Become free and APPROVE of yourself.

Don’t forget that when we love ourselves EVERYTHING becomes possible.

YOU ARE PERFECT!
