There’s No Age Limit To Sexy And Sensual

As a Boudoir Photographer in Dorset, I’ve photographed tasteful and gorgeous boudoir images of women for over 10 years - they’ve come in every glorious age, shape and size - from their 20’s and every decade through to 70’s, from size 6 up to size 26 and above.

There simply are no limits on gorgeousness. And what better way to grow and celebrate your body confidence and self acceptance than with a boudoir photoshoot.

“I had a wonderful boudoir photography shoot with Janette, she put me at ease and made me feel very special. The photos are simply amazing...I never thought of myself as beautiful until I saw what Janette saw. Janette made this a truly memorable event from start to finish and I can't wait to use her service again.” Julia

FAQs

Q. I don’t like my photo being taken at the best of times! How could I consider taking my clothes off for photos?

A. I completely understand this! But there are SO many reasons why a boudoir photoshoot can actually help you feel more body-confident and relaxed in front of the camera. There will be just 2 of us there - including you - and we’re all women. We know how to help you feel your best and show you how to pose and even what to wear. I promise that you’ll find it fun and that it will boost your confidence. You can find more reasons here

Q. What is your style? I don’t want anything seedy and I want something different from all the shots where the women are lying on their tummy.

A. My style is definitely not seedy. I pride myself on taking photos that are stylish and sensual. I try to offer something bespoke to every woman that I photograph - I don’t have a set portfolio of poses, light or images. I assess the light, your shape and your wardrobe to make sure that you look your best in your photographs.

Q. How do I prepare for my boudoir photoshoot?

A. Once we’ve had our zoom call and you know what you’re bringing to wear, I’ll send you an email with directions.

Wash your hair the night before and avoid any product. On the day itself, just moisturise as normal but don’t wear makeup. Don’t wear socks or tight fitting clothes if possible to avoid pressure lines on your skin. And that’s it!

Q. What days do you work?

A. We’ll usually shoot Monday to Friday starting in the morning. Weekends are more difficult because the makeup artist gets booked up for weddings. We usually start at 10 or 11am to make the most of the light although there is more flexibility in the summer months.

Q. What should I bring to wear?

A. A couple of weeks before the photoshoot we’ll have a zoom call where I explain how to prepare and what to bring with you. First of all, bring a robe and slippers. The room is toasty warm but wearing something comfortable whilst you’re having your hair and makeup done can help you relax. As for ardrobe for the shoot - anything which makes you feel good - matching underwear, negligees and cover ups, your partners white shirt, a special scarf, sexy shoes and for a bride, how about your veil and your bridal lingerie? On the rail I have some gorgeous accessories, a lacey robe and 1950’s sheer gown. The sky is the limit. Let’s get creative.

Q. Will my images be used by you for marketing and shown on your website?

A. Only with your permission. The privacy and comfort of my clients is of the utmost importance to me. If I’d like to display your photos, then I’ll ask your permission. You are very welcome to say no. My word is my bond.

Q. Do you airbrush the photographs? I want to look like me.

A. It’s really important that you don’t think that you look like someone else in the photos. You should look like you on a great day (or night). I do edit the photographs but like my makeup artist I have a light touch. If you have an obvious feature and you have strong feeling about it - either negative positive - let’s talk about that!
